Nawal al Zoghbi hits back at media slurs

Nawal ZoghAfter three years in the wilderness, Nawal al Zoghbi was this week honored at the Murex D'Or Awards in Lebanon as 'Best Lebanese Star'. The singer revealed that the feud between her management and the awards ceremony organizers was finally over.

Nawal has previously criticized organizers of Lebanese music festivals for keeping her name out of the list of nominees but stressed that this award was not because of the management reconcilliation. She claimed is was solely due to the success of latest album 'Ma'rafshi Leah' (I Don't Know Why).

The star, who makes frequent appearances in the tabloids, said she was turning over a new leaf with the media and would only start arguments with newspapers that repeatedly published untrue rumors about her. According to MBC.net, Nawal is currently preparing for a new single and music video but hasn't yet decided on a director.
