أعلنت وزارة الدفاع الكورية الجنوبية اليوم الجمعة إعادة رفات 30 جنديا صينيا إلى بلادهم قتلوا خلال حرب كوريا (1950-1953).

وتم تسليم الرفات، إلى جانب 267 قطعة من متعلقاتهم الشخصية، إلى مسؤولي الشؤون المحاربين القدامى الصينيين في مطار إنتشون الدولي غرب سيول، وفقا للوزارة.

ومنذ عام 2014، أعادت كوريا الجنوبية ما مجموعه 1011 مجموعة من رفات الجنود الصينيين، بما في ذلك تلك التي تم تسليمها اليوم، بعد اكتشافها خلال مشروع الوزارة لحفر رفات الجنود الكوريين الجنوبيين الذين سقطوا خلال النزاع.

وللعام الثاني على التوالي، امتنعت الوزارة عن إقامة حفل لإحياء ذكرى إعادة رفات الجنود الصينيين، نظرا لأن الصين حاربت إلى جانب كوريا الشمالية خلال حرب كوريا ضد كوريا الجنوبية وقوات الأمم المتحدة.
وجاءت هذه الخطوة أيضا في وقت يعتقد أن الصين سلطت الضوء على إعادة الرفات على أنها “عودة الأبطال” لأغراض دعائية.
وقالت وزارة الدفاع الكورية الجنوبية: “نتوقع أن تساهم عملية الإعادة في تعزيز علاقات التعاون الودية بين كوريا الجنوبية والصين”.
