البيان الإعلامي: تضامن مع الدكتور ناصر اللحام –

تدين الشبكة العربية للثقافة والرأي والإعلام في أمريكا بأشد العبارات اقتحام قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لمنزل الصحفي الفلسطيني البارز، الدكتور ناصر اللحام، رئيس تحرير وكالة معاً الإخبارية ومدير مكتب قناة الميادين في فلسطين، حيث قامت القوات باقتحام المنزل وتخريبه، وصادرت الأجهزة الإلكترونية من هواتف وحواسيب، في اعتداء سافر على حرية الصحافة وحقوق الإنسان.

إننا نؤكد أن استهداف الصحفيين الفلسطينيين من قبل سلطات الاحتلال، لن يُسكت صوت الحقيقة ولن يضعف إرادة الإعلام الحر. ونحمّل الاحتلال المسؤولية الكاملة عن سلامة الدكتور اللحام، وندعو المجتمع الدولي لتحمل مسؤولياته تجاه حماية الصحفيين في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة.

كل التضامن مع الدكتور ناصر اللحام وكافة الصحفيين الفلسطينيين الذين يواجهون التحديات والصعوبات في سبيل أداء رسالتهم الإعلامية بحرية وشجاعة، وسط ظروف قمعية تنتهك أبسط حقوق الإنسان.

الصحافة ليست جريمة، والحق في الإعلام الحر خط أحمر لا يجوز تجاوزه.

Press Statement: Solidarity with Dr. Nasser Laham

The Arab Network for Culture, Opinion, and Media in America strongly condemns the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of the home of prominent Palestinian journalist Dr. Nasser Laham, Editor-in-Chief of Ma’an News Agency and Director of Al Mayadeen’s office in Palestine. The forces vandalized the home and confiscated electronic devices including mobile phones and computers, in a blatant violation of press freedom and human rights.

We affirm that targeting Palestinian journalists by the occupation authorities will neither silence the voice of truth nor weaken the resolve of free media. We hold the occupation fully responsible for Dr. Laham’s safety and call on the international community to uphold its responsibilities to protect journalists in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Our full solidarity goes to Dr. Nasser Laham and all Palestinian journalists who face immense challenges and hardships in carrying out their vital media mission with courage and freedom under oppressive conditions that violate basic human rights.

Journalism is not a crime, and the right to free media is a red line that must never be crossed.
